Congratulations to Millman Lab members Daniel Veronese Paniagua (doctoral student), Nathaniel Hogrebe, PhD, and Punn Augsornworawat, MS on their prestigious fellowships!

 Daniel Veronese Paniagua has received a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) fellowship. This award “recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions,” according the National Science Foundation.

Nathaniel Hogrebe, PhD received the Advanced JDRF Postdoctoral Fellowship. JDRF states, “The Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship program is designed to attract qualified and promising health scientists, to provide an opportunity to receive full time research training, and to assist these promising individuals in transitioning from a fellowship to an independent (faculty-level) position. JDRF envisions the 3-year award term as a period in which fellows will receive critical research training that will position them to work at the leading edge of their chosen field.”

Punn Augsornworawat, MS was awarded the David and Deborah Winston Fellowship in Diabetes Research Award. The David and Deborah Winston Fellowship in Diabetes Research is awarded annually from the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research to an outstanding graduate student who has shown great promise in diabetes research.
