Dr. Michael Diamond is the Herbert S. Gasser Professor in the Departments of Medicine, Molecular Microbiology, and Pathology & Immunology and a renowned scholar who is a leader in the field of viral pathogenesis and host immunity. An elected member of the ASCI, AAP, AAAS, and National Academy of Medicine, he has made seminal contributions to understanding mechanisms of viral entry and immune restriction. Dr. Diamond is also a leader in the rapidly evolving field of SARS-CoV-2 biology including the pursuit of therapeutic strategies for limiting disease.
