Dr. Rachel Presti is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Medical Director of the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Unit at Washington University. She also co-directs the Center for Vaccine Research and is an established scholar in translational research on HIV and SARS-CoV-2. Diabetes predisposes to adverse outcomes in several viral infections. Dr. Presti has agreed to participate in the activities of a new DRC Core directed by Dr. Jeff Henderson focused on identifying mechanisms underlying the infectious complications of diabetes.
